The Saint Brandon DXpedition 2007

3B7C is an English-language documentary photo book about one of the most successful DXpeditions in amateur radio history.

In September 2007, a team of 20 operators from several countries travelled to Saint Brandon in the Indian Ocean. During three intense weeks, 3B7C made more than 137,500 contacts with radio amateurs around the world – an extraordinary achievement during a period of exceptionally low solar activity.

Pete Arninge (SM5GMZ), himself a member of the expedition, documented life on the island from the inside. Through photographs, personal observations and reflections, the book captures not only how the operation was carried out, but something of the spirit of amateur radio itself: friendship across borders, cooperation and the shared excitement of making contact across the world.

3B7C is first and foremost a photographic documentary – and the story of how an international team turned an isolated island in the Indian Ocean into the centre of the amateur radio world for three remarkable weeks.
